Senetti Magenta Cineraria Flowers

A dazzling daisy relative that warms the spirit with amazing flower colors, Senetti Magenta Bi-Color cineraria is a large-flowering selection with magenta-fuchsia and white petals. An evergreen perennial that attains a perfect mounding habit, it is a hybrid developed by the Japanese breeder Suntory and botanically known as ‘Sunsenereba’. This heat-sensitive plant is usually regarded as an annual that is grown in large quantities by the florist industry for indoor enjoyment in the mid to late winter months. It may be grown outdoors in mild climates that do not have high heat summers and receive only the lightest of mild frosts. Senetti Magenta Bi-Color will readily re-bloom after spent flowers are sheered away.

The oval leaves are triangular to heart-shaped and range from medium to dark green. Typically from early winter into spring, the center of the foliage is home to a rounded cluster of daisy blossoms that are vibrant magenta-fuchsia (with hints of lavender) with petal bases being white around the central eye of dark red. In mild climates with cool summers, the floral display can extend across summer and into the autumn.

Senetti provides high impact color when we need it the most. In vivid blues, magic magentas, ultra violets and stunning bi color. Senetti was known as a cineraria hybrid, but Senettis are nothing like seed-grown cineraria grown as a house plant. Their large, daisylike flowers bloom from early spring until summer.
